Full-Stack Software Engineer
About the role
Quovy builds an AI operating layer for specialty insurance — targeted solutions for submission intake, underwriting, quote & bind, claims, and servicing, not a broad, shallow platform.
We teach AI to understand insurance decision-making at an expert level and work alongside carriers and MGAs to put it into real production, with experts in the loop rather than a superficial pilot.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and deploy code across our modern TypeScript stack, front end to back end.
- Work with LLMs — tune prompts, design evaluation metrics, and build agentic workflows with responsible-AI practices.
- Build full-stack features end to end, collaborating with leadership to shape the tech stack.
- Assess critical product and engineering challenges, design solutions, write specs, and scope projects.
- Contribute to team projects with engineering best practices and sound technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Proficiency with AI-assisted coding (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, etc.).
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field with a strong programming background.
- Proficiency building scalable, production web applications, including distributed systems.
- Strong TypeScript and full-stack web development skills, with sound software development practices.
- Experience designing and working with relational data models and background job pipelines.
- Strong collaboration and communication across teams, with a proactive, adaptable problem-solving mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating LLMs and RAG into production systems.
- Familiarity with agent orchestration, prompt evaluation, and LLM observability.
